Norwegian Viva now sailing out of San Juan, Puerto Rico

The new NCL Prima Class ship will then sail the Med in summer 2024

Norwegian Viva, which made its debut in August with a series of European sailings, has repositioned to San Juan, Puerto Rico as the newest ship to homeport in the destination after arriving on 15 December 2023. 

Norwegian Cruise Line’s second Prima class ship was named at a ceremony in Miami at the end of November. The ship’s naming, conducted by Puerto Rican singer songwriter Luis Fonsi as godfather, was attended by more than 1,500 guests.

The 3,099-passenger vessel, which features a karting speedway over three levels and an open-air food market, will run seven-night winter Caribbean sailings until March 2024. The ship will then return to Europe for summer cruises in the Mediterranean, including Greek islands itineraries.
