This marks the first UAE carrier to operate flights to the Kenyan city
Dubai-based carrier Flydubai has announced the launch of flights to Mombasa from 17 January 2024.
Flights will operate from Terminal 3, Dubai International (DXB) to Moi International Airport (MBA) on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 17 January 2024.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, chief executive of Flydubai, said: “Our direct flights to Mombasa from January and our growing operations in Africa will further support free flows of trade and tourism between the UAE and the East African markets.”

Mombasa is the second-largest city in Kenya and is known for its architecture and beaches. The city plays a vital role in import and export trade and is a gateway into East Africa.
Emirates will codeshare on this route, offering passengers more options for connections through Dubai airport.
Return Business Class fares from DXB to MBA start from US$1,143 and Economy Class Lite fares start from US$435.
With the launch of operations to Mombasa, Flydubai’s network in Africa will expand to 11 destinations including Addis Ababa, Alexandria, Asmara, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, Entebbe, Hargeisa, Juba, Mogadishu and Zanzibar.
