The senior hospitality professionals will lead the luxury Qatar hotel's pre-opening
Qatar's upcoming Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay has announced the appointment of its management team ahead of the hotel's 2023 opening.
Andreas Jersabeck will implement his strategic vision overseeing the pre-opening team as general manager. He is joined by a host of hospitality veterans.

The hotel's general manager Andreas Jersabeck has more than 40 years of international hospitality experience, having worked with some of the world's leading Hilton brands, including London Hilton on Park Lane; The Trafalgar London; Hilton Doha; Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik; Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus, Tokyo Bay Hilton and Conrad Dubai.
Director of operations: Joost HPE Folkers
Joost HPE Folkers brings strategic expertise from a creative, innovation and crisis management standpoint. A Dutch national and lifelong expat, he possesses valuable knowledge in pre-opening operations and a global career with stops in Hawaii, the Maldives, the Philippines and San Francisco.

Commercial director: Ewoud Roosjen
Taking the lead as commercial director, Ewoud Roosjen also hails from The Netherlands and comes from the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam.
Executive chef: Thomas Jakobi
German Thomas Jakobi has more than 30 years of culinary experience in leading luxury five-star properties across Asia, Europe and the Middle East, including Six Senses in Thailand, Hilton Tokyo and Hideaway Zighy Bay in Oman.
Director of food and drink: Giuseppe Soccio
Giuseppe Soccio has earned a reputation for delivering exceptional results in Italy and GCC countries across several prestigious hotels, including The Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons, and restaurants such as Zuma and Nammos.

Spa Director: Nazley Mohamed
Nazley Mohamed has more than 20 years of expertise in the wellness industry. Her professional trajectory features tenures with world-renowned brands such as Mandarin Oriental and Anantara.
Other appointments include director of finance, Elias J Ajaka and director of human resource, Sirena Di Martino.
