Oman establishes tourism association

Association will help small- and medium-sized enterprises develop their businesses in 2025

Oman’s Minister of Social Development has established the country’s first tourism association.

The association's objectives are to contribute to organising the operation of tourism services in Oman in compliance with the local laws and regulations.

The Oman Tourism Association will work to promote the country as a tourist destination in cooperation with relevant authorities, encourage the application of best practices in tourism and help small- and medium-sized enterprises develop their businesses.

It will provide an environment for ideas, research, magazines and brochures, and members will recommend applicable policies to address the challenges facing the sector and enhance the use of available opportunities.

The  Oman Tourism Association will be managed by a board of directors consisting of 12 members with an initial term of two years.
