Saudi Arabia’s first all-inclusive resort will offer food, beverage and entertainment packages
Saudi Arabia’s Tourism Development Fund (TDF) announced the signing of a new deal that will bring Mexico-based brand Playa Hotels & Resorts and its all-inclusive resorts to the kingdom.
As part of the agreement, the TDF will bring the hospitality brand’s innovative concept to properties along the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea, marking Playa Hotels & Resorts’ first launch outside of the Americas.
Playa Hotels & Resorts is the leading owner and operator of all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and throughout the Caribbean, and has long-term partnerships with global hotel brands such as Hyatt, Hilton and Wyndham.
Playa guests enjoy packages that include activities ranging from oceanfront yoga to live entertainment, and complimentary dining and drinks at resort restaurants and bars
Overseas, packages typically include alcoholic beverages, but it’s expected in the Middle East properties, packages will be adapted to adhere to local customs.
The agreement was signed during a ceremony featuring TDF chief executive officer Qusai Al-Fakhri and Playa Hotels & Resorts chairman Bruce D Wardinski.
