Hyatt to triple number of hotel rooms across the kingdom by 2030

Hotel giant Hyatt will expand into 13 new markets across Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EAME) by 2028.

This follows a strong year for Hyatt in the EAME region, with plans to expand brand presence where there are currently no Hyatt hotels.

The company has expanded its global portfolio by nearly 90% since 2017, to more than 1,350 properties.

“Our accelerated expansion is a testament to Hyatt’s strength in luxury, lifestyle and all-inclusive hospitality,” said Mark Hoplamazian, President and Chief Executive Officer, Hyatt.

“As we continue to deliver on our promise of intentional growth, we are confident in the continued bright future ahead across the EAME region.”

Hyatt is set to triple its number of hotel rooms across the kingdom by 2030 and will open three new properties by 2026 – Hyatt Place AlUla, Grand Hyatt The Red Sea, and Miraval The Red Sea.

Hyatt has entered into a management agreement with the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) for Hyatt Place AlUla which is expected to open this year, adding 215 keys.

Other new projects in the pipeline will open in new markets like Estonia, Iceland, Romania, Cape Verde and Mauritius.
