World's first airport rooftop proposal takes place in Dubai

Bride-to-be says "yes" on top of Dubai International 

Dubai International airport's steel-and-glass-clad Concourse B was used as a location for a proposal on Valentine's Day. 

Responding to Dubai Airports' open call for people looking for a venue for a Valentine's Day proposal, a couple referred to only as Dmitry and Anastasiia were given access to the rooftop where Dmitry went down on one knee.

At almost 40 metres high, the setting provided sweeping views of the Dubai skyline and the runway at DXB.

The couple's journey actually began in Dubai on New Year's Eve when Anastasiia was visiting as a tourist. Meeting Dmitry at a restaurant, she fell in love with him almost instantly and intentionally missed her flight back to Russia, choosing to stay with Dmitry.

Rounding out the experience, after Anastasiia said "Yes!" to Dmitry, the pair were treated to a one-day staycation at the DXB Hotel in a specially decorated suite.

This being the first time anyone has ever proposed on an airport’s rooftop, we wanted to showcase it through our social media channels. We’re thrilled to have been a part of their story – and that Anastasiia said yes!"
