Yassin Mahmoud to lead rebrand of Story Hospitality’s five-star UAE hotel
Abu Dhabi-based Story Hospitality has appointed Yassin Mahmoud as General Manager of The H Dubai.
In his new role, Mahmoud will oversee the rebrand of the five-star hotel, one of six properties in Story Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio.
Overlooking Sheikh Zayed Road, The H Dubai has 236 rooms and suites, 11 dining venues spanning Middle Eastern, Asian and African cuisines, an outdoor pool and an award-winning spa.
With nearly two decades of experience in hospitality, Mahmoud brings a wealth of expertise in operational excellence and leadership that “aligns perfectly with our vision to grow Story Hotels & Resorts into the most inspiring brand in hospitality”, said Victor Abou-Ghanem, CEO of Story Hospitality.

An Egyptian national, Mahmoud has held multiple leadership roles with leading global brands, including Marriott, Radisson Blu, Hilton and Le Meridien, across the UAE and Egypt. He has successfully led complex hotel operations, driven consistent revenue growth, enhanced guest satisfaction and delivered award-winning service across diverse markets.
The appointment comes at a pivotal time for Story Hospitality, which is expanding its portfolio across the Middle East and North Africa region with upcoming openings in Morocco, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain.
The hospitality arm of Abu Dhabi Capital Group (ADCG), the hotel management company currently has a presence in Dubai, the Seychelles and Rabat in Morocco with six properties spanning luxury escapes and city stays across two brands.
